Vodafone brings BlackBerry Storm to the Dutch market

Vodafone and Research In Motion have launched the BlackBerry Storm smartphone in the Netherlands.

BlackBerry Storm features include: SurePress touch-screen, which depresses when the screen is pressed; built-in orientation sensor; 3.25-inch, high resolution (480x360-pixels at 184ppi), color display; and a 3.2 megapixel camera with variable zoom, auto focus and flash that also provides continuous lighting when recording video.

The handset's preloaded applications include: Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones; Windows Live Messenger for BlackBerry smartphones; Google Talk for BlackBerry smartphones; Yahoo Messenger for BlackBerry smartphones; AOL Instant Messenger for BlackBerry smartphones; ICQ for BlackBerry smartphones; Flickr photo uploader for BlackBerry smartphones, according to the company.

Recently, SFR, the Vodafone service in France, has announced the launch of the BlackBerry Storm in France with pre-orders accepted from November 2008.
