Jungo has released new USB offering for mobile broadband devices, based on its USBware and DriverCore technologies. It provides connectivity between host platforms such as PCs and laptops, and other mobile broadband devices on the market.

According to Jungo, the new offering includes PC USB drivers, embedded device stack (firmware) and testing tools. The company's embedded USB software protocol stack supports the matching protocol on the device side and has already been ported to more than 35 real-time operating systems including Nucleus, VxWorks, Linux, Android, ThreadX, Symbian and Windows Mobile.

Ophir Herbst, VP and general manager of connectivity software division at Jungo, said: USB has become a mission-critical component of mobile broadband devices, and getting it right on both the PC and embedded side requires world class technology and expertise.
