CBR Staff Writer Published 03 March 2009

Godiva Mobile for iPhone and Mobile web to enhance mobile access to Godiva.com

Godiva Chocolatier has announced the expansion of its mobile channel with the introduction of Godiva Mobile for iPhone and a new website optimized for internet enabled mobile devices.

The company has said that these new offerings complement the existing Godiva Mobile application for BlackBerry and extend Godiva to all connected mobile users.

Developed in partnership with Digby, a provider of mobile commerce platform, Godiva Mobile for iPhone allows users to install a Godiva Mobile storefront on their iPhone or iTouch and features an optimized shopping experience as well as additional features, such as integration with their contact list and a secure mobile wallet.

The Godiva Mobile web offering, also part of the Digby mobile commerce platform, allows customers who have a mobile phone with Internet access to shop from Godiva.com in a mobile web optimized experience tailored for their device, Godiva Chocolatier added.

Kimberly Land, vice president of the direct-to-consumer division of Godiva Chocolatier, said: The addition of Godiva Mobile for iPhone and the Mobile Web allow us to provide mobile access to Godiva.com to an even greater portion of our customers and prospects. This initiative is especially important during economic downturns as it allows us to stay closer to our customers and make it even easier for them to access Godiva whenever the need arises.
