Apple's voice-over function will assist blind and partially-sighted people to hear explanations of features being displayed on the screen.
The Mannheim regional court in Germany has ordered a stay on a Samsung's voice-over patent infringement lawsuit against Apple.
Samsung suffered the setback in its effort to win the case against Apple in which Samsung claimed the iPhone's voice-over screen-access technology violates one of Samsung's patents.
Samsung sought for an injunction, while the judge ruled for the case to be suspended pending another ruling that could nullify Samsung's allegation.
Samsung said in a statement that the company has heavily invested in pioneering the development of technological innovations in the mobile industry, which have been constantly reflected in its products.
"We continue to believe that Apple has infringed our patented mobile technologies, and we will continue to take the measures necessary to protect our intellectual property rights," the company said.
