CompanionLink launches secure hosted wireless sync for Android, iPhone, BlackBerry

CBR Staff Writer Published 17 January 2011

Eliminates the need for intermediaries like Google or iTunes when synchronising PC calendar, contacts, tasks and notes

CompanionLink Software, a provider of data synchronisation offerings for mobile phones and CRM software and services, has launched secure hosted wireless sync with iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Android phones and tablets.

The new secure hosted wireless sync eliminates the need for intermediaries like Google or iTunes when synchronising PC calendar, contacts, tasks and notes.

The company said the new offering directly syncs with PC software like Microsoft Outlook, Sage ACT!, IBM Lotus Notes, Palm Desktop, Novell GroupWise, Salesforce CRM, and Time & Chaos.

It can also synchronise standalone Outlook data for those without an Exchange server, and for Android, iPhone and iPad devices. CompanionLink's Secure Hosted Wireless sync works in tandem with an app called DejaOffice.

DejaOffice provides PC-like calendar, contacts, tasks and notes functionality to consumer devices, and offers tight integration between its apps with features like colour-coded categories, private records, task styles (GTD, Franklin Covey, TBYL), custom fields, and advanced sort options.

Further, the CompanionLink also supports PC sync with Palm webOS, Windows Phone, Windows Mobile and Nokia Symbian devices.
