AT&T launches mobile TV service in Albany

AT&T has launched its AT&T Mobile TV service in Albany, New York. The new service is claimed to give customers access to live news, sports, entertainment and kids' television programming on their mobile phones. The company also announced a one-month free trial for new subscribers.

According to the company, AT&T Mobile TV, a service by MediaFLO USA, delivers continuous streaming, full-length live TV programming and sporting events to mobile phones from sources such as CBS Mobile, CNBC, Comedy Central, ESPN Mobile TV, FOX News, FOX Mobile, NBC 2Go, MSNBC, MTV, Nickelodeon, CNN Mobile and PIX.

The service is available on four handsets of AT&T: Samsung Access, Samsung Eternity, LG Invision and LG Vu.

Bob Holliday, vice president and general manager of wireless operations in upstate New York for AT&T, said: With this service, our customers don't have to miss a minute of their favorite programming. AT&T customers want to be constantly connected, whether they're at home, at work or on the road. Mobile TV gives them an exceptional way of viewing TV content as they never have before.
